The regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of Suffolk County Community College, scheduled for August 20, 2020 at 9:00 a.m. in the Alumni Room in the Brookhaven Gymnasium, on the Ammerman Campus in Selden, NY has been changed in accordance with New York Executive Orders 202.1, 202.10, 202.14, 202.18, 202.28, 202.29, 202.32, 202.38, 202.48 and 202.55. Philosophy

The child care centers subscribe to the following statements:

  • a good child care program meets the child's total developmental needs (i.e., physical, intellectual, social, and emotional)
  • children of all ages should learn to be independent
  • children learn best by doing, that is through hands-on activities that foster a sense of curiosity and self-reliance
  • activities should stimulate a child's intellectual and inquisitive abilities, and enhance motor development and social skills
