Special topics courses are developed to offer current topics or other specialized content not currently offered in the discipline. Special Topics courses may run for only two semesters. Upon the completion of the second semester, the course will be withdrawn from the schedule unless it has been re-approved by the Campus Executive Dean as a Special Topics course or approved as a permanent course. Under no circumstances will a Special Topics course run for more than four semesters. Special topics courses may require prerequisites. Honors special topics courses additionally require enrollment in the Honors Program or approval from the campus Honors Program Coordinator. All non-Honors special topic courses are designated 095, 195, or 295 based on course level and academic discipline. All Honors special topic courses are designated 296.
