Science and Technology Entry Programs
CSTEP: For College Students
The Collegiate Science and Technology Entry Program (CSTEP) at Suffolk County Community College provides academic support services to economically disadvantaged students pursuing careers in mathematics, science, technology, health-related fields, and the licensed professions. CSTEP is funded by the New York State Education Department.
STEP: For Middle & High School Students (7th–12th Grade)
The Science and Technology Entry Program (STEP) at Suffolk County Community College is offered to students in 7th through 12th grades in selected school districts.
STEP is designed to increase the number of economically disadvantaged students prepared to enter college and improve their participation rate in mathematics, science, technology, health-related fields, and the licensed professions.
