Mission
The College requires effective technology that is optimally utilized to support its operation and advance its mission, goals, initiatives and strategic priorities. The Office of Computer and Information System's role in the delivery of this technology is to provide enterprise-level information technology leadership and effective, secure and sustainable services to students, faculty, staff and administrators; and to support the delivery of academic and campus-level technology through leadership and collaboration with academic administrators and technology units, and by providing a strong, mission critical, infrastructure.
Goals and Outcomes
- Goal:
To direct enterprise-level technology toward solutions that optimally address institutional goals and strategic initiatives by collaborating with institutional planners on the development of college goals, priorities and strategic initiatives; and identifying and focusing resources to projects and services that deliver these solutions.- Outcomes:
The Office of Computer and Information Systems will participate in the development and ongoing maintenance of the College Strategic plan.
The Office of Computer and Information Systems will collaborate with various college planning and user groups to identify and advise on how technology can best be used to advance the College goals, priorities and strategic initiatives, and to update and maintain the College Technology plan.
The Office of Computer and Information Systems will integrate methods for identifying how requests received advance the goals, priorities and strategic initiatives of the college; and focus services to activities that best advance those goals, priorities and strategic initiatives.

To provide effective and institutionally-focused information and communication technology (ICT) services for students, faculty, staff and administrators by combining an understanding of the needs of a large community college with user community collaboration on services and system maintenance, operations and development; and providing support to effectively utilize these systems and services.- Outcomes:
The Office of Computer and Information Systems will provide reliable, mission critical, enterprise services at a level necessary to support an institution of the size and complexity of the College.
The Office of Computer and Information Systems will collaborate with the user community on system maintenance, operations and development in order to provide services that meet the community's needs.
The Office of Computer and Information Systems will provide help services in collaboration with various user committees to support effective end-user utilization of systems and services.
The Office of Computer and Information Systems will provide a functional and dependable ICT hardware and systems infrastructure for faculty, staff, and students.

To provide a secure information environment for the College by identifying and mitigating risk and implementing and advancing information security systems and practices; and collaborating with College data owners and information security committee members on policies and best practices for the user community.- Outcomes:
The Office of Computer and Information Systems will provide a secure enterprise level technical environment by periodically reviewing Information Security requirements and practices as they pertain to the College technology and implementing solutions to protect the College data systems.
The Office of Computer and Information Systems will participate in the implementation and ongoing development of the College Information Security program in consultation with the College Information Security Committee.
