The Office of Workforce an Economic Development empowers the community to realize the potential for growth through training, service and outreach.

Goals and Outcomes

• Goal:
  To support regional economic development.
  • Outcomes:
    To obtain and implement grants to connect to the Long Island workforce.
    
    
• Goal:
  To provide access to opportunities for training; resulting in career and job placement, leading to economic, community and societal improvement.
  • Outcomes:
    To identify the workforce needs of emerging and current industry on Long Island.
    To develop and implement the educational and training programs necessary to meet the workforce needs of the region.
